From August 1, Prayers for LT

This is why I journal nearly ALL conversations with God, my thoughts on pastoral teachings, my responses to God and His poking at my wounds, heart, and life... and well, most things in general. Because then at the end of a crazy summer like this, I can look back and read through, and FINALLY see the themes for this summer, what God really wanted to accomplish in my life (and see that He actually DID want to accomplish something in general), and that He DID in fact answer prayers.

Somewhere around April 21/22 this was my prayer and dedication:

"I am dedicating my summer 2010 to serving God, serving others, and allowing my life to be an example to others of love, leadership, faith, and service. I ask God to use me this summer and to transform live s and perform miracles in my life and the lives of others through His grace, mercy, and unashamed love for us."

Then I prayed for this summer and for the following:

• I pray for health and safety and good travel for everyone.
• I pray we see the beauty in all.
• I pray for renewal and rededication of hearts.
• I pray for patience in times of growth, frustration, and confusion.
• I pray for love and forgiveness and broken hearts.
• I pray for guarded hearts against the schemes of Satan and His distractions.
• I pray for faith that can move MOUNTAINS.
• I pray for broken chains, changed hearts, and healed lives.
• I pray for selfless living.
• I pray for PASSION.
• I pray for confrontation and healthy conflict.
• I pray You reveal Yourself to us in mighty and awesome ways.
• I pray for HUMILITY!
• I pray for the process.
• I pray for Your truth to resound through and in our hearts.
• PROVIDE
• I pray for hearts that want justice.
• I pray You be the calm in our hearts.
• I pray for answers... and more questions.
• I pray for VULNERABILITY.
• I pray for faith and dedication.
• I pray we answer when You call.
• I pray for challenges.
• I pray in our lives, our love, our world You'd be lifted high.
• I pray we'd remove our masks and be true.
• I pray love is the answer.
• I pray that YOU are the SOLUTION.
